What is a Warehouse Associate?

Here at Launch Fulfillment, we have a whole warehouse team. Each in different departments working together to make sure we send your packages properly and on time. Our team members are here to do the heavy lifting of ecommerce fulfillment. And they do it every day. Our employees personally handle packages, orders, inventory, and equipment each day. These things are constantly moving around the warehouse, and our team members understands and handle it all.

Seems pretty straightforward, right? Well, working in a warehouse comes with different departments to specialize in. There are so many tasks that need to be done that keep the job exciting and engaging.  There are many warehouses throughout the U.S. Each of those warehouses are different and run differently. Here are some duties that our warehouse associates must do on a daily basis.

Duties of a Warehouse Associate

In a warehouse, like the warehouses we run here at Launch Fulfillment, an associate can expect to be on their feet for the majority of the day. The warehouse associate will be walking and moving around the warehouse as they help people get their products they love out the door and shipped to the customers safely.

Other times, the associates will be in the pick and pack section. Here they will be working with boxes and packages that are being packed with dunnage and tape to secure the product.

Or the associate will work with boxes in ways like taking them on or off of trucks and trailers for FedEx and UPS to ship out the orders. They might also be in receiving where they take the product in bulk and store it on the shelfs of the warehouse. There are so many different operations and departments the warehouse associates could be working. It is a fast moving, and efficient environment while also being a place that can be fun and entertaining.

We strive to have the environment to be fun and light while also being productive and efficient. If you are interested in a job here at Launch Fulfillment, be sure to find us on indeed and look out for job postings.
